That is the way Sue signed up for the exchange. So, I thought it would be fun to bust out of the grid lines. It seemed like a very good idea. The M made the whole name too wide - and I thought it would be OK to just bump the stamp over a bit. There was still something off - so I tried the red outline on the name I was surprised that an outline didn't solve everything instantly. There was a lot of time spent staring at it - and I finally just started filling in the spaces with comments, complaints and general whining.
Now that it's been gone for a while - I think it would have been fine if I had just filled up the empty spaces with hearts and little guys. The next attempt was to go with a red name and a little guy. That might be my best little guy. I like the 3 hearts. The things that bother me are the rays, which are clunky and the letters in Lynne's name - which we can't do anything about. Or - maybe using some lower case would have helped LYnNe might have been very nice.
The rays are not right at all. I'm not sure I ever got to a point where I liked the rays. The added hearts with red seem to be about right on this one. Makes me wish I had added them to some of the others. Sue's would have been a lot better with some red hearts. Also - some small outlined hearts - just black would have helped a lot.
