another uncial option

another whimsical variation of uncial to see if scarlet can warm up to it.

hard to find the right stamp to go with this one. all my ZIG calligraphy markers are pretty dry. i layered uniball silver and then G-Tec colors over the top

READ the post below - if you signed up for the envelope exchange for a few additional details.
thank you.

scarlet's uncial

scarlet blue is usually annoyed by uncial. i like to find ways to make annoying styles like-able.

it needs more lacy detail. i also need to find her address....

carolyn's circle alphabet

carolyn is on my list of people to lure into the lettering arts. we were once neighbors with toddlers and we were soooooo creative.

anyhow, here is a way to make circles into flowers.
i had a piece of paper with ruled lines left over from a carl rohrs workshop. then i added a quote. then i found some flowers then i made some flowers. the whole thing is a hot mess.....but, i still like the idea of circles transformed into letters transformed into flowers and s-o-m-e-d-a-y i might do a better version. or better yet, one of you can make a better version and send me a scan.

i do not remember where that quote came from.
i googled it and found this:
allow yourself to be a beginner. nobody starts out being excellent. wendy flynn

uncial annoys scarlet

uncial annoy sscarlet. so i will be tossing out non-traditional versions. it would have been fun to do a detailed rendering of the pattern on the stamp and add some gold tassels.

kay's ramirez flower

this is a really nice idea inspired by the ramirez stamp. it's from a new penpal. the original envelope is a no.10. i cropped off the left margin so that the lettering would be a little larger. i hope that's ok with kay. i think the design works well with lots of white space as well as a little less.

thanks for joining the exchange, kay.
