(30) Oct to Sharen - painted backdrops

Here is another one in the never ending quest to find something that works on my vellum envelopes. I have at least 100 left. There are a couple others coming up that I really like but they only worked for October. I wonder if I can spin them into a Dec theme - to enclose in my Nov envelopes. I think I have a good idea.

The add-on today is a YouTube video about painted backdrops. Back in the 70s, when I did graphic design, I had a few trips to Minneapolis to work with a commercial photographer in a very impressive studio with amazing backdrop fabrics. The backdrops come in all sizes - so even Olan Mills has them - so it's something we've all seen even though it probably didn't leave any impression on most of us ..... except those of us who have a *thing* for paint. I always looked at them and wondered who painted them. Now I know.

They can be mostly one color with some texture or variation - or entire scenes.
I'm wondering if all of this is done with photoshop these days.
It's been a while since I watched the video - so I do not recall if there is any comment about that.
If it's another *art* that is near death, I'd rather not think about it.
