This was my robot idea, inspired by Rachael - and clearly I did not use any rulers or templates. It was so much fun. I did not care for the first envelope I did for Lynne so I made a tiny robot for her with a used stamp.
I like these two enough that I might do robots for everyone in May because my April batch of envelopes was not a cohesive collection. I could get all the robots done - holding round stamps - and then fill in the names when I see who signs up.
It's wildly unpredictable how teams will either jell or spontaneously combust. Even though I can be very opinionated and even stubborn - I usually enjoy projects that involve teamwork. I've had things go both ways - amazing success as well as *that looks like it was put together by a committee.*
Maybe I should approach my envelopes as if they are a collection - and reduce the number of options that I am allowed on each one. Maybe I should choose one thing that is required on each envelope. It would have to be either the stamp - or the font used on the name.
Is this another good idea that will get lost in the stacks? Tune in for the May envelopes which will probably show up in June. How crazy is it that we are talking about the halfway point of the year. Yikes.
