here is a bonus post, in case the two from carol are repeats.
isn't this adorable. i hardly ever like flag stamps, but i would totally steal this idea.
smash has made comments that she thinks her names looked *tacked on* and aren't integrated into the design. this one is fine. the pale blue lettering are cloud-like. so it totally works.
if you had done the address in one tiny line, off the end of her foot, so it formed the sidewalk, that would have been a nice touch.... some people are uncomfortable leaving a big chunk of white space...but, space is as meaningful as matter....
I love the lettering of Susan's name!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. I never thought of it. You have a very active imagination, tthis would have improved 100%.with a sidewalk. The name was written with a parallel pen filled with diluted blue ink in a made up alphabet. I love to hear all the compliments and constructive suggestion. Even though I've been doing lettering for a long time, I'm still learning.
ReplyDeletei'm sure you could teach is a thing or two.... or a whole bunch of things. my technical skill at exact lettering is *loose.* my inventiveness came from studying and practicing a different set of skills. we all gravitate to different areas. and we sponge up really fun ideas... thanks for all the envelopes that are going to be posted. stay tuned everyone.....
