after i did the chunky squares which morphed into the thinner chunkies, i compressed the idea into these. still in the series where i did all the lettering without looking at stamps, when i saw the feathers, it seemed the feather shapes went with the lettering. added bonus, smash-girl is a big fan of the owls.
the address will go between the 2nd and 3rd S's. might put a pale blue or green stripe in wide marker. seems like a horizon might add - hope i don't ruin it....
I like your placement of stamps on this one.
ReplyDeletethanks - i was so out-of-my-comfort-zone trying to make 4 stamps look good....it's reassuring to have a positive comment. :-)
ReplyDeleteOur owls nested in our neighbors window box outside their den window right on the glass. The two owlets think they live with a human family. It's really entertaining to watch the parents bring dead stuff, pull it apart and feed the owlets
ReplyDeleteAnyway I have grown to love all owls. These are great horned. I will have to do a search for more stamps. Love the envelope
Love this envelope! ~ the stamps and letters! I'm also an owl lover. I've been collecting owls for about 35 years. I'm envious. It would be so wonderful to be able to watch the little owlets grow.
ReplyDeleteThese owl stamps are great! and your placement of 4 looks very balanced. Just a reminder to all interested parties: Easter is coming.....Graceful Envelope deadline is coming......Tax day is coming....and has anyone started getting ready for any of these???! As far as Graceful Envelope...your description of producing was spot on Jean. Last Friday night I worked up my 2nd "great idea", can't wait to see what pops into my brain this week!
