if i had time, i would do something along these lines. it's fun to have other ideas from other artists. i put in a type-box with a fake address. the actual address matched the name. thanks for sending this :-)
my scribble flowers are getting redundant.
It nearly killed me to use two of these beautiful flower stamps, but I needed the color. I drew the flowers with a GTech and colored it with water color pencils. It hasn't been mailed yet
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with the versatility of the La Florida stamps - they look great together, individually, and here in this pairing. I'm sure the art has something to do with that.
ReplyDeletesmash and i have commiserated on how hard it is to part with stamps. i wonder if it would work to keep one little album with one each of our favorite stamps, and then maybe it would not be so hard to part with them. although, smash, i do not exactly understand why you are having hard time using stamps that are on mail you are mailing to yourself. and why do you mail them? i'd just keep them all neat and clean.
ReplyDeleteThis "envelope a day" project started on January 1st as a way to leave my 4 grands something that I had actually made. I'm thinking that by the time I die the PO might be defunct and that these hand done envelopes with dates and post marks might be interesting relics. Very often the stamps are inspiration for the envelope. Pinterest and you Jean have been very instrumental
