6 years of daily blog posts - have not missed a day. if you go back, you will find some days that are missing due to some editing. but 6x365 = 2,190 and there are over 2,500 posts, so i am way ahead of the game. if you woke up and clicked, you saw something. and then there are the readers who leave a comment at 1:30 am - so that i get a comment when i wake up. that's always fun for me....
thank you for your comments (at any time of day or night) over the years. even the ones where you complain about spiders give me inspiration.
this is from the desk cleaning series. it spent several years as a pencil outline of something i saw on pinterest that i liked. i put a name in the center of the flowers and it looked awful. then proceeded to spend a ridiculous amount of time covering them up. still looked terrible. then smeared everything with pale pink tombo marker, and ended up liking. was very happy with the orphan stamp.
Congratulations on your anniversary! All I can say is: Please, keep writing and drawing. You inspire me!
ReplyDeletethank you for posting. i think this birthday is more fun for me than my actual birthday. i hope to keep at it for many more years.

DeleteHoping for lots more anniversaries to come! Every morning I stop in to see what's new. You've inspired me to start writing letters to my friends.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing the imperfect this-one-didn't-turn-out envelopes, too.
not to mention the spelling mistakes. do you know how many different ways there are to spell kristin? lots. thanks for posting.

ReplyDeletethank you, grasshopper. not only do i check your blog every morning, your list of blogs give me endless chore-avoidance material.
DeleteLike your other followers, I make a daily visit to see what envelopes you're pushing. I'm inspired by your creativity, and I chuckle at the wisecracks. What a great way to start the day. Happy Birthday 🎂 and many more.

ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. Thanks for posting.
DeleteHaPpy BiRThdAy! The daily posts are a gift, not a given...coming from someone who hasn't updated her blog in almost 2 years. I've turned my "Letter Art" students on to to your blog and now a group of ladies who after only 4 hours of guidance are addicted to markers, snail mail and calligraphy/art! Thanks Jean!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Christy. My favorite part of the blog is when I find out that my readers are reaching out to an even wider audience. I feel like a mini-artsy-virus. The good kind of virus. 😃😃😃
DeleteHappy birthday belatedly. Your blog is a real treat! It brightens my day. 😊
