karen's deer

after one that was similar to this one got rave reviews on the blog, even though i thought it was a dog, i figured i might as well do some more along these lines. but it was the same day that i started making bad address choices, so i am just posting these sans address and will repost if i don't mess it up when i add the street.

it's just black with white gel pen over the top. mimics some detail on the stamp.

  1. I think taking one detail from this stamp set to use in the name and/or address is very effective. And in a wild coincidence, I have the same stamp in my blog post for today. Happy birthday, America!

  2. yes indeed - wild coincidence to post same stamp on same day. http://envelope100.blogspot.com/
above is the link to finnbadger's blog. he has a ton of great stuff on his blog. you may also reach it by clicking on the link on this page. it is over to the right. although if you read my blog on a phone, i do not know where things appear. when i am on my phone and go to my blog i only see the blog post, none of the extras. i'm sure it is a user-problem. and stay tuned. sometime in august you will see an envelope from finnbadger that knocked my socks off. he is one fine grasshopper.

    1. If you scroll all the way down on a mobile device you have to click the tiny 'desktop version' to get the full view. This is a bit unwieldy on a phone, though.

Are you talking about the exchange envelope? If so, I hope Wilma's arrived, too.

    3. Just found the button to view the entire blog. Thanks. On mine it says view web version. And I can enlarge it to see everything.

  3. since it is a holiday here in the usa, many of you will be too busy to read the blog. others will have nothing to do and might surf all day. since it is a serious work day for me, i thought i would procrastinate for a bit and give you all a warning. if you love to simmer food for a long time and then eat it - be careful that you do not pour hot food into a room temperature pyrex container. it might just crack the container and spill all the food, half of which is broth that is very runny. and because this happened once before, i always put the pyrex in the sink when i pour the liquid in. so luckily, i did not have an insane mess to clean up. maybe someone can research and tell me if i am supposed to let things cool before pouring into pyrex. this might be common knowledge.
