That is a stunning envelope. How is the writing done? From the scan it seems like it is not applied on top of the wash, but hard to tell for sure.

ReplyDeleteThe letters are written with a ruling pen and liquid mask. The watercolor washes are done next. When completely dry, the mask can be removed, and pencil lines, if any, erased.
