facebook

i had a request to post the link to my Facebook page and I can't figure out how to do that. If you search for Jean Wilson Des Moines Iowa, you should see a list of 3 or 4 Jean Wilsons. I used the same photo of myself that I have on the blog, so, that should help. If anyone wants to try telling me how to find my *link* please do...so far, I can't even figure out how to find my list of friends.

ok...i tried one more time and i think this might be it:

  1. Oh, Jean. That's funny! I've been on Facebook for a while and I STILL have to ask my kids how to navigate sometimes!

  2. all i did was type wilson into the search box and i was sent to jean's page
this happened after i requested 'friend status'
to get to jean's page initially, i first signed up, then cut and pasted jean's link above into the address bar

    okokok...it's medieval computing
    but i did get there

  3. Sometimes my children seem to not have quite enough patience to teach me how to do technological things, and they think I am some sort of an idiot even though I often have had to help them with their English compositions. Ooh, I know, I'll ask my friends at the public library to offer a Facebook class! Can you imagine what a riot that would be?

  5. Well, I'm back. The library copier is broken, and it was all out of paper, but we still managed to make an advertisement! Do you think anyone will want to attend?

  7. Are we permitted to create a Facebook page for our pets? Or must we always be human and merely show off our pets? This would be a crucial point in my willingness to join, as I am currently feeling quite unable to sit at the computer without Eadric. He genuinely seems to be learning from the activities, and he is a very friendly and cute dog. And I think Eadric might be patient enough to teach just about anything to just about anyone.

  8. of course eadric may be the leader of the pack. we look forward to the exchange between eadric and the furry people at katy/kathy's house. my plastic penguin is also looking forward to participating.

  9. Yep. I figured there would be some toy penguin in the group that Eadric would find difficult to resist. By now both you and Katy must suspect that Eadric and I might never get around to joining Facebook. . .so go on ahead without us and maybe we'll meet up with the pack later on. . .

  10. whew. i was very close to using my valuable time on a facebook page for the penguin. now i can put that on the back burner. however...this morning on facebook, someone posted that OCD should be CDO because the letters should be in alphabetical order. and went on to describe how she used the dewey decimal system in her room when she was a child. so....there are are plenty of good libraryesque topics on facebook to keep us inspired in our quest for organization. so technically, this comment belongs in the head banging thread. rats.

  11. Well, I'd say overall your work is a stunning success. I guarantee, once the librarians realize that they have stumbled into the ladies dressing room, they will leave quickly. Brava, Jean!
