Wicked cool....I want to "Steal" this idea. The one question I have is this....Printers typically don't have white ink/tone, but it looks like the address was printed in white. I don't/can't see where it is a label but even if it yes the background integrity is that of the envelope...So, is this really printed in white?
my guess is that it is digital art that is printed on white paper. So the lettering for the address was reversed out of the background that was chosen on the computer screen. I know there is one kind of digital printer that will print white ink because I had someone bring me some dark gray envelopes with a white return address printed on it. But, I have no idea which printer it might have been. Let's try to find out.
Hello Eric - Wow...thank you for the info. I wouldn't have guessed it was entirely done on the computer! I still love the background design and colors, wicked cool. I'll have to see if I can't do something similar with this as my inspiration piece. I'll end up lettering in white gouache most likely. Thanks again for sharing!
I love the colors on this envelope - great job, Eric.

DeleteYes Jean. The envelope was created fully on computer and the address os part of the image that I then printed on a white paper.
