This was a cute envelope - that was sent during the first week in July - and then at the end of the month it was returned to me. Ocean Park is a fairly small town - and if I had put his last name on the envelope, I'm guessing it would have gotten to him. The only mistake was that 01 - should have been 10.
I'm going to make the same mistake - on another envelope - but have his name on it - and see if it gets to him. I am not peeved at all that they did not figure out that it might have gone to a guy named Karl. Update - I addressed to him using first and last name - and the same error in the house number - and it arrived.
Part of the cuteness that I liked about the envelope was that I clearly left space at the bottom for the USPS - and that's where they put their sticker. I wonder if the sticker was applied by a machine -or a person.
While we are talking USPS - I've been watching the government surplus website to see if I can find a retired postal vehicle. There is a really nice one - in Oregon - that has a bunch of bids on it. The auction will be over by the time this post pops up - and I probably won't bid on it -- but, I will forever dream of having my own little postal truck.
Love the card, the multitude of stamps and the whole story!! Such fun!! Why would you want a postal truck???
