July from Kristine - DOD flowers

Kristine has done a couple envelopes that looked like outlining shapes from French curves. These look like tiny little cookie cutters. If they aren't cookie cutters -- maybe Kristine will let us know what they are. I might have to steal the idea of using just two colors from those stamps. Rachael commented in a note that she agrees with me that the Goodnight Moon stamps are more challenging than one would have expected.

At the end of yesterday's post, I had an idea for today - and it's less than 5 minutes later and I have forgotten what I was going add.... oh, good... it came back to me. It had to do with 23 days of musings and whether it would be boring drivel or maybe there would be *events.*

One event for today is a meeting with Keith - the designer of the ofrenda that my team is building for the big Day of the Dead event at the end of October. Fellow exchanger Janet made a ton of tissue paper flowers and Keith will review the options and put in his order for flowers.

The tall cardboard thing in the back will be a mass of flowers that is on all four corners of the base of the ofrenda. The PVC pipe will spring forth from the four corners and arch over the giant skull.

Keith ordered a total of 750 flowers. I have 7 people who are willing to help so that's only 100 per person. I'll end up making 50 just doing test runs to show people the process. Everyone will have a month to make 100 flowers - that's less than 4 per day. I can't imagine that will be difficult.

Around the 20th of July I saw a meme - probably making fun of the shelves of merch at the craft stores -- reminding us that it was only 100 days until Halloween. I felt validated with the way I have been pushing people to work this summer.
