Leslie is the one who inspires me regularly to get back to gouache. I get inspired - but I don't always act on that inspiration. I finally did for the August exchange. The results were underwhelming.
Although, I like these (done on regular paper) more than the two yesterday done on vellum. And maybe the fact that the lettering does not relate to the stamps is making me less than enthusiastic about them. At least I got the gouache out. But then I just put it away. That goes against my teachings.
Or does it? Trying to kill the three birds with one stone was not working. So, maybe it's better to put the gouache on the back burner until I get a design that coordinates the font and the stamp. More gouache tomorrow - with a different font.
I love how the loopy script first name takes up most of the envelope and the blend of colors. I think it's lovely!
