Copic + ships to Phillip - Jan PTEX

I wish the black lettering was white.
The two squares in OhiO would have looked
better in white as a repeat of the stamp shapes.
Hopefully Phillip will not be disappointed to see his envelope before it arrives. Sam's request for her name in BIG COPIC led me down a rabbit hole. Or maybe it inspired me to do some pondering of the process of creating envelopes for an exchange.

Some people fret over the exchange, myself included. It seems like a full 50% of the problem is deciding what style to use. It is helpful when people make requests. Although, it is very hit or miss as to whether or not I can fulfill any requests.

So - here is my tip if you spend too much time deciding what to do:
When you get your list - do some rough drafts of the various names on the list - using a variety of styles.

I thought about doing everyone on Sam's list in BigCopic, but a couple people on that list have already received that style. So I went with Phillips list. I will show my rough drafts so you get the idea of how to rough out some names before you commit to the style or design. There were more rough drafts than this -- but it gives you an idea of how you can work out the way the names might look. Which ones to stack and which ones to put in one line.

Don't miss the goofy *phillip* to the right of Huey in the second line.
Mireille Djenno might be amused at how inept I am at spelling her name.
Let's hope I get it right on the actual envelope.

  1. Always interesting to see the before picture before it arrives. These all have a great modern art feel to them.
