this is a beautiful example of bone lettering. i have not studied bone lettering, you need to have a nice broad edge and then you make slight changes in the angle as you pull from the top to bottom to make it narrower in the middle. it's lovely. but probably a style that is easier to learn in a class than by just looking at it. the part where you write in walnut ink and then drop a little doc martin's copperplate gold into the ink before it dries is something that anyone can do. you just need to buy the materials. so maybe i will try a beginner level style with walnut ink and gold....

What a beautiful combination of the ink and stamp colors! I can see the changes in the pen angle of vertical strokes, but what is the standard pen angle of Bone? It seems to be fairly flat. Well done, Elizabeth!
