the scan does not look quite right. the colors were a perfect match with the stamp. and the overall effect on the background is really beautiful in person. i do very little in the way of making these all-over backgrounds. so, i really admire the ones that turn out so well. it looks very quick and easy, but there is a learning curve. if you don't know what you are doing, it's pretty easy to just make a big muddy mess.
Do you make your own envelopes? What paper do you use?
ReplyDeleteSmash always makes the best things. This one is a beautiful piece of mail art.
ReplyDeleteI check uspsstamps.com every couple of days. and I was entertained to read this piece http://uspsstamps.com/stories/stamp-disapproval because it included the Alcoholism stamp you featured in a recent entry.
Finally, I hope the weather is behaving so you can make it home soon.
i am home and WOW - what a wonderful pile of mail.
Deletecan't wait to scan and post them.
i am going to ditch a family event this evening, just to tend to my blog :-)
I wish I didn't have brain rot from being on vacation and in SC for a month. To be honest 2 things come to mind, surely one is correct. 1. National Geographic and a solvent cleaner called Citrosol on the pages, dried and cut into an envelope or 2. A small piece of glass used as a stamp with colored inks applied and pressed into an existing envelope. Without touching it, I can't remember
