Another bonus post

On April, 19 IAMPETH is hosting a free Zoom event - with Vivian MungalL I met her several times at IAMPETH conferences and she is the quintessential cheerful scribe. She and her husband lived in Kansas City and kept the Ziller scriptorium running for quite a while. Stephen (or Steven?) Ziller was from the early 1900's when engrossing studios were still a thing.

The Mungalls have kept Ziller ink in production which is an acrylic ink that is waterproof, so it's great for addressing envelopes. It was my favorite ink when I needed a waterproof option. Although it was not as dreamy as the dreamiest ink of all - the non-waterproof McCaffrey's - which, ironically was also made in Kansas City by another quintessentially cheerful scribe, Neal McCaffrey.

Here is a link to the Zoom event

This is a piece by Vivian - in the French Roundhand style that I like. Engrossers, like Vivian, were very good at pretty much every style of writing. I think the Mungalls have retired to Florida,
